My Reich-X for the bet (*) is growing awfully close to being finished. I thought I'd get a bit ahead of myself and upload the current 15K word (17 page) article for people to enjoy. It is in part because my betting friend is considering trying a GURPS campaign (he is usually D20) based on it, and I would like to hammer out any problems still to be found in the article quickly. If you find something, please let me know! General feedback is more than welcome, too :-)
Reich-X : Hitler died, then he conquered the world, and then things got weird! (for the uninitiated, Reich-X is a Hitler Victorious world for Infinite Worlds, in which vampires and werewolves, secret magic orders, brains in jars, cyborg Nazis, UFOs, Qabalist spirit summoners, Oslo mutants and more continue to fight it out in the slowly rebuilding Greater Germany covering the world... and space!)

Hitler wouldn't happen to be a greenish robot wielding dual chain guns that never run out of ammunition? Perhaps he lives in a castle with low res wallpaper? :)
( Sorry, couldn't help myself. ) |

I really enjoyed reading about Reich-X. It was fun.
Unfortunately I do not feel myself capable of running a plot with a highly probable conclusion of a massive fleet of Nazi starships, reverse engineered from alien technology, leaping across time to invade an alternate Reich that just isn't "Nazi Enough", with the aid of hollow earth sorcerers, a brain-jar internet, and a large contingent of cyborg were-nazi spare marines. The image of undead-cyborg Hitler commanding this charge with the Spear of Longinus from a base on Mars caused my brain to melt. Last edited by Gedrin; 08-20-2007 at 11:16 PM. |

Wow... When even the Reich-5 Nazis aren't sure whether or not they want to follow such a successful Hitler, you know something's wrong...

Just finished the Adventure section last night. The article is now 18K+ words.
Maybe I should do an adventure for the world after I do the Munchkin article for the bet.... Thanks for the kind words!

It is done!
I have completed the article, for a 23 page, 21987 word treatment of a victorious Hitler and a Third Reich wielding magic, UFOs, cyborgs and brains in jars against remaining rebels like vampires, werewolves, Atlanteans, the alien Ausenwelder working with secret American/Russian bases on the dark side of the moon, mutants in Oslo, and of course the Hebrew Qabalists, who wield the spirits of their ancestors killed in the Holocaust using the fully explained Qabalistic spirit magic rules (and the Toltec refugees have a similar magic, base don animal spirits!). Infinity and Centrum have a tentative, unstable alliance while Centrum figures out how bad the giant undead cyborg Hitler (and his empire stretching the world and out to the mysterious ruins on Mars) really is, and while Infinity figures out how to kill him. And on the side, the Raven division of Reich-5 is hesitating on making itself known to the Fuhrer of this place, especially after finding that the genes of Raven division infiltrators have been found less than fit for a place in the genetically cleansed Reich. Ladies and gentlemen: Reich-X Enjoy!

I just skimmed through this....
You need to start writing for Pyramid, JTAS, and/or e23. They may not go for Reich-X (it violates some aspects of IW "canon," I think) but I'd say you know how to put a world book together. If you haven't seen the e23 wish list, here it is... http://e23.sjgames.com/gurps-wish-list.html Good luck. Mark |

Thanks, that's quite a compliment. I've tried writing Thomas, the e23 head guy, but I have yet to get a response. I am, however, looking at the details of doing an independent magazine. With my writing and the network of playtesters and suggestions I hav epersonally and through these boards, I can actually do 100-150 pages of stuff like this per month, at a $1.50 subscription. I just need to figure out how to set up the whole PayPal thing.
Unless, of course, I get into e23 in some efficient way. But it looks like they are swamped, on a permanent basis... EDIT: Oh yeah, and I read the wishlist. I even started on a GURPS Elves. But since I am having trouble getting answers about things on e23, I am considering doing it for my own TAYDS (a GURPS-compatible but seperate system I wrote) instead. The unfinished file is here

Reich-X was good and well-written.
I might borrow it in a Supers game, but I doubt it will ever be canon for IW. Aliens (space travel) are sort of taboo as is Centrum and Homeline working together. I suspect that Reich-5 shouldn't be added at all, since it will only take one Aryan fanatic to blow the whole IW secret. |
