Something bad has happened to the Angel with the Word of Pasta:

The recent popularity of Angel Hair has helped, but things have been getting tough ever since the Flying Spaghetti Monster started siphoning off so much of what essence there was in the word.

Wrong side. No archangel would waste someone on so trivial a Word as Pasta.

Haagenti, on the other hand, likes to assign this Word as a punishment to an incompetent demon (of which, he has more than his fair share). He thinks the demon's suffering adds "flavor" to the future-meal-in-the-making. (And Kobal gets a chuckle every time his "brother" once again follows this "advice" of his.)

I dare say that the Flying Spaghetti Monster (as a mostly silly Ethereal) has made Kobal into Beleth's biggest competitor. By now, a Demon of Parody Religions has probably given pasta the kind of non-literal dimension that Haagenti hates: "Duhh, what's a 'metaphor' and why can't I taste it?"
