Door Breaching rounds
So I was looking at Shotgun rounds in High tech and they list stats for Door breaching rounds. but they do not list how to run them when they are used for door breaching. Are the rules somewhere?

Re: Door Breaching rounds
Assuming Frangible slugs, you get regular slug damage, at Pi++, applied to the hinge or lock mechanism. If your rolled damage exceeds the lock or hinge's HP+DR it fails and the door can be kicked open. With typical 12G slugs giving 4d+4 Pi++ damage most locks will fail.

HT 167, you fire at the hinges of the doors. Assume a typical hinge has DR3 and HP6 while a door designed specifically not to be breached has DR9 and HP16 (based on Dungeon Fantasy 2, p18).

Re: Door Breaching rounds
I am not sure about HT's entry on the ammunition, but these rounds aren't very efficient / usable in certain shotguns. They are designed / best in pump or pump/auto shotguns as their design makes the action of the weapon fail and need to be cleared manually.

Re: Door Breaching rounds
But that is true of lots of rounds, auto shotguns are particular, one reason they are not more common in police and military use.

Re: Door Breaching rounds
The best compromise is something like the SPAS 12 that can be operated as a pump or a semi-auto with a button press.
