It's possible to have Sense of Duty (Adventuring companions), at [-5]. Sir Yvor Gryffyn, one of the Dungeon Fantasy pre-mades, has that, for example. And the other PCs don't have to pay any points for him having that. So there is a precedent for the bodyguard getting points for Sense of Duty towards the heiress and the heiress not having to pay points for him having it.
