Curse! B.O. played on a helper in combat?

What is the result if Curse! B.O. is played on a helper in an active combat? Does it just wear off instantly, since "next combat" during combat is considered the current combat, or does it stick around until that player's next combat? (Certainly it can't push the active player out of the combat, right?)

According to https://forums.sjgames.com/showpost....00&postcount=4 , Curse BO does not affect a helper, only the player who starts the combat.
