Here's another GM example that probably doesn't work well in GURPS (The Arbiter, Chess, Björn Skifs, 1986)

I'm on the case,
Can't be fooled.
Any objection
Is overruled.
Yes, I'm the Arbiter
And I know best.

You got your tricks,
Good for you,
But there's no gambit
I don't see through.
Oh, I'm the Arbiter,
I know the score.

I've actually only personally experienced one of these. Most of these are sort of a compilation/exaggeration of stories I've heard, paired with whines I've heard on various forums (often accompanied by stories that purport to explain why GURPS sucks, but mostly just seems a litany or biases or just bad GMing technique)

Yeah, it's nice to see so much new stuff in there. Just drafts, for the most part, but it means we're finally getting out of the giant old pile of stuff that had been blocked up by Ogre, and into some genuinely new material. GURPS lives!

GURPS Power-Ups 7 has a release date... how likely is a set release date to change? Barring acts of God.

I'm trying to learn more about the industry so that I can direct my whines with surgical precision. :)

We scheduled a long-awaited update/errata fix for upload in September. More than that, I cannot say.
Oh. My. God.

Hm. My first, obvious guess would be the Ultra-Tech Weapons Table, as that's an errata/update that's been in the works since the ice age thawed and man first crawled forth from the caves to look upon the sun and Kromm instructed the first roleplayer in GURPS ("Ug, me no so impressed with Ultra-Tech. Seems not as good as High-Tech." "It's cool," spraketh Kromm "I'll fix it. Also, we're working on a book for Vehicles.")

But if it were that, I don't know why Kromm wouldn't just say that it's got a release date. It might not be an errata fix we've been waiting on. Perhaps it's one that he's wanted to do for awhile, but hasn't really talked about in a way that it's been picked up on the speculation spots.
