The epic rule for orc says:
"....it’s a Level 1 monster, you eat it, any bonuses applied to the monster are discarded, yum yum, that’s that. You go up a level for the hot meal, and since this is a kill, you can win this way." If I kill a level 1 monster with this ability while having, say, 30 combat strength, do I get the treasure and two levels? It was argued tonight that the epic rule seems to alter the other orc rules. |

The Orc gets the Treasure, since the epic rule does not override the base rules on that issue, and gets one level, exactly as the epic rule says, regardless of the difference between the respective combat strengths of the Orc and the Monster(s). The reason the Epic Orc only gets one level is because the ability prevents anyone from stopping him from instantly killing a Level 1 Monster, should he choose to use the ability. If you are in that situation and want to risk the other players messing with you and possibly stopping you from gaining any levels, then don't use the Epic ability to have a chance at getting that extra level.
