Fat "restricts" HT to a level I've only gotten up to once or twice over the course of designing maybe 50 characters. Oh noes, I can only have HT 15!

Many obese people should be represented with Unfit or Very Unfit. All the extra weight tires them out quicker and puts more strain on their bodies in general.

Is it just me, or is Overweight actually pretty darn good for a warrior type?

It's not bad for real warriours, who were often a bit chunky.

As of now, Fat seems almost a cosmetic Disadvantage. I say it should've been a Metatrait.

I'm fine with that. It would be difficult to represent the Kingpin of Crime using the original rules.

Its fine like that - If your character is fat and unfit, just buy both traits...

There are quite a few historians that believe that most Roman gladiators were overweight - Its actually not bad to have a layer of fat protecting your inner organs from a trident...

Ive been fat most of my life and am more then that now.
I wouldnt say my strength is lower becasue of my weight, I used to be unusually strong for my size (not impressively so just more then most expected becasue I lifeted weights) but lack of toning has lost some of that.
However the real penatly is I am slower (reduced basic move) and fatigure more easily (probably unfit, though I have a fantastic immune system)

I find this too (I'm technically obese, but most people would only call me overweight). I'd say it's covered pretty well by treating it as encumbrance you can't just put down. It makes running slower, dodging harder and most physical activities more tiring.

Actually, establishing a simple Disad value for that would be great for building characters with Increased Density* and such, like Rockman or Dwarf Star.

* Which, to a very minor extent, is what I have. Though I'm not without a bit of a belly, a fair bit of my "excess" weight is from my freakishly dense bone structure. My bones don't break, but I'm 105 kg (~230lbs, for your Imperials) at 172cm (~5'9")!

There's no need for an "extra encumbrance" disadvantage. If your Move is reduced by your weight, buy down your Move. If your Dodge is reduced as well, buy down your Basic Speed.
