And Dungeon Fantasy: Treasure Tables, by Matt Riggsby has been mentioned in Sean's blog.

Good thing: I wish luck and inspiration to its author! Now the line lacks the announcement of a bestiary and an officially released small adventure/dungeon...

For any project to go from first draft to publication in two months, particularly this one, strikes me as highly unlikely (the editor has to review it and offer comments, there should be some sort of third-party review/playtest, I need to revise based on all of that, and with the large number of complex tables I'm sure layout is going to be a larger than usual job), but release this year would seem plausible.

That said, I'd love to see it come out quickly. DF needs more shiny things.

Well, obviously that's a 256 page hardcover, so that's going to take quite some time and it's had delays which have put it behind Horror and Low Tech, or so I gather from the authors. I'm not involved with it, of course, since I'll be doing the other hardcover for 2011, GURPS Ninja Penguins of the Renaissance.

I'll risk violating my NDA by sharing a preview with you.

You have entered the bedchambers of the Elf Queen. She stands before you and speaks.

What does she look like?

Hm. Her gold-spun blonde hair spills past her alabaster shoulders like springs of honey mead. Her full, ample breasts are barely covered by a sheen of magical elven chainmail. Leather leggings hug her butter-supple loins..."

'Elf Nympho style' sounds like a pretty sweet Martial Art.

How was the Renaissance Period in Antarctica? or were the NP's a global operation?
Will there be new Avian Martial Arts Style?

Global, obviously, though their role is vastly understated outside of the southern hemisphere. Indeed, some students in the US and Europe never hear anything about ninja penguins until they hit university-level history classes! Anyway, this book concentrates on the role of ninja penguins in the European Renaissance (slightly broader than that, actually; it touches on other flightless birds trained in martial arts as well, such as North African ostrich warriors occasionally employed as mercenaries by the Ottoman Empire).

Styles. Squakijitsu, Quackrate, Cheepueira, Tweet Kwan Do...it's a pretty long list, and I'm not sure how many of them will fit.

But Ninja Penguins didn't stand a chance against the Lakota Samurai Pirates. That's one reason they never had any real influence outside the southern hemisphere. They could project some influence to nearby areas, sure, but the northern Pacific was dominated by the LSP fleets maintaining the vital link between Edo and the Dakotas. The NP's allies in the Kiwi moas helped early on, but you see where that got the moas themselves.
