You know, all this talk about needing party members such as a cleric... if you guys wanted to hire a henchman, I can make one with DF15. They would be getting this experience, too, meaning, the farther you go without one, the weaker they will be if you do decide to hire one.

I'm making a torch barer now for the fun of it, but can make a cleric, too.

There's also something I want to note about the dungeon's design and it kind of has a little to do will all the changes we're making to the PC party, but it's late and I need to sleep. I may suggest a return trip to town with no character point loss for doing so, but we'll talk about it later.

ErnhamDJ, do I notice correctly that you have Fast-Draw Arrow, Sling, and a Cornucopia Quiver, but not either Bow skill or a Bow, nor a sling?

Jim's remade. I took out the cleric stuff and made him into a Dark One again, figuring that a) I'd picked it before, and so shouldn't remake too much this time, and b) I know it's not the best, but I want to play it anyway.

Spells of Note:

Force Dome and Force Wall. (I've been toying with fixing these myself for my game; right now I'm leaning toward giving them DR 10 and HP 100 rather than making them 'impenetrable', with another DR 5 and HP 100 each time you double the spell cost.)

Shape Earth. (Again, I have a potential 'fix' if you find you need it - Shape Earth only works on uncut stone.)

Great Haste

Maintain Spell and Delay

Seeker and Seek Earth

Missile Shield

Also, I switched out Absent-Mindedness for Curious (12 or less) and Frightens Animals, since they go better with a Dark One, reinstated Social Stigma (Excommunicated) rather than the Obsession, and moved around some quirks.

Finally, I dropped Continual Light. If that's a problem, let me know, and I'll re-instate it, but Jorin has it as well, so he could theoretically have cast it instead of Jim.

He can throw arrows with Throwing Art. The Cornucopia Quiver is infinite ammo when I don't feel like using up my shuriken or when I don't think I can get my boomerangs back.

The only reason he has the Sling skill is because they make you take a ranged combat skill on the template. It is completely useless. The only thing I can imagine it being useful for is competition. We can say they have sling events at the monastery or something.

I once had an NPC that was styled after Genan Shiranui with high Karate and bladed hands. Wicked combo.

Yeah, but I think he's using a SM +1 version (which is pretty nice to use if you're hitting the max ST of the SM 0 one, which is easy to do with Power Blow).

This was well before LTC2 or Dungeon Fantasy, or even Martial Arts. Just the Basic Set and Magic.
