Agreed! So happy that I pledged in the Ogre Kickstarter, so now for the first time in a LONG time, I can finally think of myself as a stakeholder.

Bizspeak adopted the word "stakeholder" expressly to include a broad range of people that are not shareholders, yet still have an interest in the company's actions, including customers.

To quote BusinessDictionary.com:
Quote:
A person, group, or organization that has direct or indirect stake in an organization because it can affect or be affected by the organization's actions, objectives, and policies. Key stakeholders in a business organization include creditors, customers, directors, employees, government (and its agencies), owners (shareholders), suppliers, unions, and the community from which the business draws its resources.

Okay,... it's not Jan 1st (when I usually make an annoying post about the report)... it's 2Q 2013. Too hard making 2013 even to report on how great 2012 was?

Steve's been working hard on Ogre (and a couple of things you, ahem, haven't seen yet) and taking it easy when he hasn't been working. Compiling this report is time-consuming and brain-intensive, because there's no point in doing it at all if it's not done well, and doing it well means really thinking about it. It'll be done when it's done.

Default Report To The Stakeholders 2013 is coming

To be precise, it's been turned over to Rev. Bob to post. It'll be locked for a day or so while we give it a last check. Then the Illuminator will run, the report will be unclocked, and I'll be ready for questions here. This is my tenth Report to the Stakeholders!

Advance word for all our faithful forumites: The executive summary of the executive summary is "It was an amazing year despite Ogre driving us to the edge of madness."

That's great news. Hope this year goes even better, with OGRE having already pushed you beyond said edge.

Don't fret. It'll all be Ogre soon enough.

I'm glad to hear this. Good to know some game company is having a successful time.

There's a punchline here about Ogre, short drives, and madness. But...I can't *quite* formulate it.

Actually, it seems to be a decent year for game companies in general. If any publishers in the top 20 or so have their backs against the wall, I don't know about it. Of course, I might not know. (And if they'd told me so in a response to my "wanna be acquired?" Illuminator, I wouldn't share it, but the fact is, nobody has told me it was an awful year.)
