Dr. Feelbad

When attacking with Dr. Feelbad the target Hero is the one being attacked. Why would I play this if the damage is going to move from the targeted hero to the attacker's hero? Or am I reading this card incorrectly?

"Target Hero" Is chosen by the monsters' controller.
