Munchkin Card Manager
Greetings to everyone!
I had the idea of making something like this thing since I saw that sweet cool Level Counters. By the way I found couple of ways to improve them, but I'll tell you about this next time :P Anyway, I don't thing I could do this without help of my mate Moldon from Russian forum, so let's all say thanks to him! So this is some way you can manage your cards and track level and gender of yourself and (which is more useful) your "friends" in game. Download the picture, print it in A4 and enjoy) You just can't place ALL of your cards on A4 space so just the most important cards are supported) Place others somewhere else) The only game supported for now is the Base Set (normal or Epic). To be continued... So what do you still waiting for? Go get it now! There are few things I want do discuss with you guys. First of all, do you like the Manager? Will you print it and use it in your games? Second: how do you think, should I remove level and gender in further versions of the Manager? Thing is there will be just no place for it: Item modifiers (M2 etc), Race and Class modifiers (Dice), more cards in top level (Powers from Bites! for example) etc. In this case you still will have the possibility to use old good counter) Suggestions? Opinions? Answers? P.S. If you want I can share my PSD file of the Manager. Do you need it? P.P.S. Is there any chance that someone give me something I could use for this project? You know, fonts, maybe some pictures in vector, textures for background... I swear I won't use it for making cards or other illegal stuff! Please? Edit: Now at official Munchin resource page only! Hakuna Matata.
I haven't tried your manager yet since I cannot print here because I am travelling in New Zealand. But I love the idea and it actually already looks really nice! I think it is a good system even with the levels and gender. Maybe a second sheet would be nice for a hireling+enhancer and free space for items with no restrictions like "Scary false teeth" or "Cute Shoulder Dragon". It wouldn't be possible to fit everything onto one sheet that's why I would suggest to use a second one. I'll tell you more when I have tested it. Cheers, Yukimura

Please don't ask for copies of the Munchkin art. It's copyrighted by SJ Games. Saying you aren't going to use it for illegal activities sort of glosses over the fact that using it AT ALL is illegal without our permission.

Re: Munchkin Card Manager
For you to get permission to spread around SJG's copyrighted images, which I doubt'll happen any time soon. . .
Please remove those files and then submit them to be hosted by SJG. |

In fact, the question is: is that any way I could use to make the creation and sharing this and further versions of my Munchkin Card Manager (and maybe my versions of Level Counter in future) fully supported by SJG? Last edited by Gryphon; 03-15-2010 at 02:58 AM. |

Re: Munchkin Card Manager
If the file is hosted by SJG's site, then using images is going to be allowed. You chose to host your files, with SJG's images, on some other site, which is not allowed. Take down the files, then send them, in an e-mail with explanation as to what they are, to the Webmaster. They will get reviewed and then hosted by SJG when it's decided the files are acceptable and do not need any further changes.

Re: Munchkin Card Manager
Munchkin Man, thanks!
Just two more questions: 1) What about Russian version of Manager? I doubt it is needed beyond the Russian community... How can I legally share it so? Edit: 2) In case SJD will hosted this file, can I get more resources for the next versions? Last edited by Gryphon; 03-15-2010 at 06:42 AM. |

Re: Munchkin Card Manager
I would assume that you need to speak to the company who has been legally licensed to produce and distribute the Russian version as well as SJG for that. Hopefully, Andrew will be on later and can confirm this.

Re: Munchkin Card Manager
Thing is there is no such thing as Russian official Munchkin site. All we have is the community site, forum and LJ-community, and the page of the shop that producing Munchkin and other games... And no single resource on it 8(

Re: Munchkin Card Manager
That's easy, then: Have the Russian version hosted on SJG's site and let it be known in the Russian community where to go.
