I’ve revised my list. Which would a challenge for a Star Wars scientist to create?

Items 2 and 28 might be special-case hard in the SW universe, because thhe nature of biological minds seems to be closely linked to the Force. So trying to read mind by purely mechanistic means might be tricky. It might work, but incompletely, you might get only those aspects of thought are are physically based, or the data might make no sense interpreted mechanistically.

Just about any one of those could be impossible in Star Wars, or already well known and just never mentioned. The thing to keep in mind is that Star Wars is not really science fiction. It's fantasy adventure with a different color palette. You might as well ask "which of the following spells would be most difficult in the Hogwarts setting?"

It's canon that the factories that produce repulsorlift and hyperdrive devices are in the close vicinity of black holes, using the properties of the event horizon to create those devices. So 25 and 27 are certain.

Nucleon chemistry is an impossibility because chemistry depends on the exchange of electrons. Quark engineering would probably be the better term, though I do not see the utility of such things other than finding novel ways of killing oneself through exotic radiation.

The only thing I can imagine quark engineering would be good for would be building exotic elements. If there is an "island of stability" you could imagine super-heavy elements being important raw materials.

Of course, that's assuming the Star Wars universe run by our physics, which it clearly doesn't.

Speaking of which, IIRC J.K. Rowling did post some rules for things that magic can't do in the Potterverse - has Lucas done the same for Starwars?

The only firm rule I can remember ever hearing is "No Jedi Wookiees." Apparently, one of the novels introduced one, he didn't like it (for whatever random reason), and he declared that anything with a Wookiee Jedi was non-canon.

Of course, the personal preferences of George Lucas now have zero bearing on what is and isn't canon.

And then Clone Wars gave us a Wookiee Padawan (though by that time it was very unlikely the cub survived Order 66).

The only thing that appears to be a no-no is "never give Yoda's species a name or homeworld", even with additional members of Yoda's species out there in various works (including Master Yaddle on the Jedi Council in The Phantom Menace). No clue if The Mandalorian is going to give us additional clues with Baby Yoda's starring role.

As for what the Force cannot do, I don't think there was ever any limitations Lucas himself declared. Time travel has been an unspoken thing in the past, but there are cases in the EU and season 4 of Rebels where that happened, albeit under highly unique circumstances.

I don't know why they call him baby Yoda. The Mandalorian takes place after The Return of the Jedi, which is after Yoda died. I have no idea why George Lucas won't tell anyone what species Yoda is.
