Default Glima in GUPRS?

I understand GLIMA was a fighting style observed in Vikings. Do we have GURPS material (books, articles, etc.) regarding GLIMA?

If not, what material would you recommend?

Thanks!

Glíma observed in Vikings? As in the TV show?

Or glíma, the martial art that still exists today in a highly sporterized form?

The non-sports version of it.

Probably can be represented as "has wrestling skill".

But isn't there something more characteristic for it? Like the stuff described in GURPS Martial Arts' styles?

Technical Grappling has the Belt and Jacket Wrestling style which probably includes Glima.

There are many martial arts in our world. It is impossible to describe of all them in GURPS books. Which is why authors did focus on the most well known.

My karate, for instance (Okinawan Gojuryu Shoreikan) is not described in Martial Art. It is a comprehensive karate: with almost as many striking techniques as takedown or armlock ones.

How do I handle that in GURPS? Simple. I just take the closest skills (Karate and Judo) and use them. Sometimes, I add some precise techniques or rules to reflect very specific training: two-handed punch, counter attack, targeted attack, defensive attack, and so on.

So, as said above by others, if you take the Wrestling skill and add a few techniques which are very specific to Glima, you will have a very good result.

Yeah, I get it. That's what I am looking for; if nothing is available in the texts, then something to check would be alright (because I know glíma only by name, and I don't know what makes "thre right thing" so to say).

Thank you!

Icelandic/Norwegian wrestling like Glima would just be represented by Games (Glima), Savior-Faire (Dojo), and Wrestling Sport. It has no more combat application than Professional Wrestling.

Except that they're asking about the historical version, not the modern. Considering that there duels to the death using Glima back then, I'd say there is a combat skill for that. They fought in an area with a large rock sticking out of the ground and the object was to break your opponent's back on the rock and then leave them to die of exposure.
