Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! OOC
Bain invested his remaining CP in DWA.
Bain attacks the monsters that are over Gathika, the zombie and the skeleton, with a DWA: He delivers the first attack, a trick-shot (-2) for -1 to defenses, against the zombie. Hide: 3D6 → 14(3 +6 +5) Shooting: 15 (14+3-2: DWA, acc, trick-shot). The attack succeeds, but the monster dodges it (8). Hide: 3D6 → 7(1 +3 +3) And the arrow keeps flying and goes straight against the next enemy, the skeleton. Hide: 3D6 → 9(6 +1 +2) It is about to hit, the skeleton tries a dodge (11) but fails! Hide: 3D6 → 12(4 +2 +6) Damage, 2d4+4 (2) * 1 IMP UNLIVING. Hide: 2D6 → 4(3 +1)+4 It receives 7 HP of injury, after DR. After a successful fast-draw (14) 12 & Ready (14) 12, Bain attacks the zombie once more, another trick-shot (-4) for -2 to defenses. Hide: 3D6 → 9(3 +3 +3) Shooting: 9 (14+3-4-3-1: DWA, acc, trick-shot, quick-shooting). The attack succeeds, and the monster tries to defend with a block (9) (at an additional -1, as both attacks were launched at the same target). It fails to block, and the attack hits its vitals! Damage, 2d4+4 (2) * 3 IMP (unliving creatures have vitals & skull multipliers). Hide: 2D6 → 5(3 +2)+4 It receives 24 HP of injury, after DR.

On the other hand, even with injury tolerance no brain, no vitals, etc. (a separate thing) major wounds from targeted attacks call for a knockdown roll (at no penalty, in the particular situations of no brain, no vitals, etc.). BTW, what are the monsters HT scores? Bain's attack caused a major wound too (at -5 HT for knockdown). What is your say, Ajardoor?

Re: [DFRPG] Crawl! OOC
I would suggest forming a defense arch around gathika, Elementals/Vic/Telrith. If that is ok with Telrith, I assume we are almost at a line, just moving gathika back and closing the gap

Protecting the healer is fine by me. GM, please remember both of my questions: can the elementals expose themselves to skeletons only, and what does the major wound to the zombie do*? *they might have high pain threshold... which gives them a bonus to knockdown but not immunity.

Healer? Gathika is a cat-cultist! Healing is done by the Elder Things!

The skeletons and zombies are both HT 12 with High Pain Threshold.

Just reminding the GM of my other question.

The zombie gets knocked down by the force of the blow and gets stunned. Because you disrupted the magic intertwined with the flesh.
