It's half for limbs, 1/4 for hands... Anything more than it takes to cripple is lost, there is no limit on the torso.

Yes and no to the sound part. while they are invisible, they produce a low humming noise when they start speeding up. so in reality, you won't hear it unless it's almost on you. when seen, the ability to hear the tone they generate is much easier to find, making it easier to pinpoint them.
I wouldn't have waited that long bleeding out to put pressure on the wound... but alright, just one more day one armed I guess... unless it's permanently crippled. Really wish I wasn't half asleep and forgot to retreat this morning.


BTW, should his leather bomber jacket have protected him from any damage? ot did you already subtract out the DR1?

yes. The original damage was 7, but with the ruling of 1/2 HP, it still drops to 5.

6 was after doubling for impaling, so I assume you mean the original damage before DR was 4. I asked because if it was forgotten and the 3 became 2 (doubled), his arm wouldn't be crippled.

Probably... why not? I barely remember half the things I put down, so... yeah. change it to 4 damage, with the 1 damage from bleeding. Either way I counted damage wrong... (the thing did 1d+1 Imp, so i was unclear if I added the +1 after or before.)

You add the die and the +1 (or whatever) to find the basic damage, then subtract armor, then apply any wounding modifiers to get to the wound result.

justin Butch has a spear skill of 11...what is the 5 for?

thanks for taking him over....just for clarification Can butch see them or is he fighting blind?

He has Spear? one sec... oh, he does...
I based the 5 off of 11 DX, -4 default, -2 due to the perception filter of the monsters.

yes he has spear from bayonet training in the infantry. so his skill wouod be 9 against these things

i was hoping you could remove that post and let me do my own thing...plus with that damage to the skull 6 points after skull dr he is at least unconicous (Major wound -10 to con check and he will be in death save range.

I disagree... and I think it goes way too far. especially going from 'not wanting to approach' to 'running into him'

And a jaw hit isn't a skull hit, skull hits are brain hits that do 4x damage.

regardless, glenn just did enough damage to destroy Butch's jaw and land him in the hospital for a week, that also seems to be very extreme.

I think you'd make crusher allot happier if you deleted that post (and the following ones) and let him role-play it since he's here.
