There's actually some space devoted to the raid and Operation Sun Devil in a textbook for a computer ethics class I took long ago: A Gift of Fire.

It was part of a dedicated J-Term* class we had a Gustavus in '93? '94? Class was called Law & Order on the Electronic Frontier. It was very heavy into the formation of the EFF, gov't overreach, phone phreaks. It still resonates with me. So all this made it into the literature pretty fast.

*J-Term: a lot of small, liberal-arts colleges in MN have Fall and Winter Semesters. The month of January is different; students take one, focused, month-long class. It's a good time for odd-ball choices, tours for music/theater/sports groups, test-driving new curriculum, etc.
