Default Computer version of Car Wars

Hello,

I was wondering with all the advances in computer technology why there isn't a computer version of Car Wars? I remember autoduel and would love to see a new version of it. Thoughts?

There's something in the pipeline when there's more info the folks at SJG will let us know. These thing take time quite often lots of time.

A computer version of Car Wars would be GREAT. It should allow a player to road-duel and arena-duel with other players online. Maybe there could be a circuit of AADA arenas.

For old times sake, list it as it would be listed in the 1980s "The ADAA Vehicle Guide"!
The memories of going to the beach with my family for vacation and we played Car Wars on a picnic table with my brothers. The wind blew but we didn't care...
On a more relevant note, I remember playing the Apple ][c version of Car Wars for HOURS (as well as Spyhunter).
The memories - oh - the memories.
Thank you Steve Jackson for Car Wars Autoduel! :)

hehehehe... Spyhunter. Man I loved that game.

As I dig in to the wayback machine... it was a while ago. Coin-op arcades were pretty common. The one I hung around was Action Family Arcade, which was attached to LaVerdiere drug store. Local concern. I think it does not exist anymore, save in the memories of those who were there.

While I was not especially great at spyhunter (as revealed by the modern internet) I was the local hero on some games. Spyhunter was one of them.

Loved spy movies and I loved Car Wars. Spyhunter was sort of a quick fix.
