Default Star Wars: Some Templates!

Here's a pair of templates I cooked up earlier tonight for the Jedi during the time when the Sith Empire was a clear threat, around 3700 BBY (or the time of the MMO "The Old Republic"). Note that these templates are intended for a 400+ point game, but I think they catch the flavor of the two quite nicely.

First, I give you the

Jedi Guardian
300 points

The Jedi Guardian is a master of lightsaber combat. The higher mysteries of the Force don't concern him so much as perfecting their art and defending others. Many turn their attention to military matters, accepting officer positions within the Republic Army.

Guardians traditionally wield a lightsaber with a blue blade.

Note that the template below lacks the inclusion of Force powers. Many Guardians develop their telekinetic and/or energy control powers to assist in combat.

Attributes: ST 12 [20]; DX 12 [40]; IQ 10 [0]; HT 12 [20]
Secondary Characteristics: Dmg 1d-1/1d+2; BL 29 lbs; HP 12 [0]; Will 12 [10]; Per 10 [0]; FP 12 [0]; Basic Speed 6 [0]; Basic Move 6 [0]; Dodge 10.
Advantages: Born Soldier 2 [10]; Combat Reflexes [15]; Enhanced Parry (Force Sword) 3 [15]; Extra Attack 1 [25]; Force Sensitive [5]; High Pain Threshold [10]; Patron (Jedi Order) (Equipment: More Than Starting Wealth, +100%; Special Abilities: Extensive Social/Political Power, +50%) (9 or less) [63]; Resistant to Poisons/Toxins (+8) [7]; Social Regard (Respected) 3 [15]; Very Fit [15]; Weapon Master (Lightsaber) [20].
Perks: Style Familiarity (pick two) [2]; TK Tether (Lightsaber) [1]; Weapon Bond (Lightsaber) [1].
Disadvantages: Code of Honor (Jedi Code) [-15]; Duty (Jedi Order) (15 or less) [-15]. Also select -30 worth of points from the following: Callous [-5], Charitable [-15*], Fanaticism [-15], Guilt Complex [-5], Hidebound [-5], Honesty [-10*], Impulsiveness [-10*], Loner [-5*], On the Edge [-15*], Overconfidence [-5*], Pacifism (up to Self-Defense Only) [-5 to -15], Selfless [-5*], Sense of Duty [-2 to -20], Stubbornness [-5], Truthfulness [-5*]. May also have one or more of the following: Blindness, Deafness, Hard of Hearing, Lame (Missing Legs or Legless), No Fine Manipulators, One Arm, One Eye, One Hand, or Quadriplegic, all with (Mitigator: Cybernetics, -70%).
Lightsaber Styles: Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Djem So, Juyo, or Jar'Kai.
Primary Skills: Force Sword (A) DX+2 [8] - 14; Judo (H) DX+0 [4] - 12; Karate (H) DX+0 [4] - 12; Parry Missile Weapons (H) DX+2 [12] - 14; Tactics (H) IQ+2 [4] - 12†.
Secondary Skills: Armoury/TL11 (Melee Weapons) (A) IQ+0 [2] - 10; Autohypnosis (H) Will+0 [4] - 12; Breath Control (H) HT+0 [4] - 12; Fast-Draw (Force Sword) (E) DX+2 [2] - 14‡; Leadership (A) IQ+2 [2] - 12†; Meditation (H) Will+0 [4] - 12; Mental Strength (E) Will+2 [4] - 14.
Background Skills: Climbing (A) DX+0 [2] - 12; Jumping (E) DX+1 [2] - 13; Philosophy (Jedi) (H) IQ+0 [4] - 10; Running (A) HT+0 [2] - 12; Swimming (E) HT+1 [2] - 13.
Equipment: All Jedi Guardians wield a lightsaber (Force Sword, $10,000). Many (excluding Makashi stylists) wear Light Combat Armor (built off the Light Clamshell in Ultra-Tech) and/or wear a Force Shield Bracelet.

Next, I present the...

Jedi Sentinel
300 points

Sentinels are the investigators of the Jedi Order. They are often called in to assist (or occasionally take over) an investigation for planetary security forces or the SIS when Sith or other Force using sects are suspected. This occasionally causes some resentment among the security forces and SIS, but the Sentinel's results cannot be denied.

Sentinels traditionally wield a lightsaber with a yellow blade, although this color becomes rarer as time goes on. Later Sentinels often wield a lightsaber with a blue blade.

Attributes: ST 10; DX 12; IQ 12; HT 12.
Secondary Characteristics: Dmg 1d-2/1d; BL 20 lbs; HP 12 [4]; Will 12 [0]; Per 14 [10]; FP 12 [0]; Basic Speed 6 [0]; Basic Move 6 [0]; Dodge 10.

I'm having a hard time trying to work out the Jedi Consular/Sage, the dedicated student of the mysteries of the Force. I'd love to see what others have come up with.

These look great!

A thought, though: doesn't this template need Precognitive Parry?

I might be getting this wrong - the Force is not strong with me at present.

D'oh! While it's true that not every lightsaber style calls for it (Makashi in particular is for lightsaber vs lightsaber dueling, not lightsaber vs blasters), it is one of the definitive hallmarks of a combat Jedi.

I'll need to redo things; I want to keep the template at 300 pts, so I'll need to reshuffle points around somewhere to fit it in.

just a thought tbrock but why not just develope the saber styles into full on martial arts? then your players can choose the ones they want and it should help cut the template cost down.

yeah those. didnt see them, my bad. ok so now im missing why you need to reshuffle the templates if the styles have precognitive parry where appropriate?

Just a thought on your Guardian. The Republic did not have an army, creating one was part of Palpatine's efforts to take over and become Emperor.
And in the movies it seemed that the number of Jedi were small enough that specializations like this could not be supported.

As stated in the OP, these templates are for an era close to 4,000 years before the movies. At a time of war between the Republic and the Sith Empire. They did indeed have an army at that time.

Where does that put us relative to the events of KOTOR and SW:TOR? I can't seem to remember how much time passes between KOTOR and SW:TOR and then again between SW:TOR and the movies.
