Default Does Reliable work with Healing Advantage?

Just what the title says: can a character with the Healing advantage pay points for Reliable to improve his chances of success? I've scoured the forums (and the books) and I can't find a straightforward answer to this. Thanks for any help!

Yes, Reliable is a legal modifier for anything but ranged attacks (Powers, p. 109).

Yes. There's even a canonical example; see GURPS Powers, p. 151.

you can take "Ranged" with healing to make it a ranged attack, which I guess RAW would prevent taking it, but I don't really see the problem.

If there's something which requires a to-hit roll AND a success roll (like ranged healing would) then is there a need for Reliable/Accurate to be mutually exclusive?

I wrote up a post on Healing a while back. Gathered all the (then) modifiers for it and wrote up a few of my own. You can find it here.

One of the interesting builds with Healing is the universal healer. They have Healing (Based on Will, +20%; Cosmic, +50%; Cure Affliction, +60%; Reflexive, +40%; Reliable 10, +50%; Restore Limbs, +80%; Self-Healing, +50%; Xenohealing, +100%) [155]. Strangely enough, I do not think that Reduced FP Cost is necessarily the best choice, it costs 6 CP per -1 FP, as you can get ER 4 (One Ability Only, Healing, -50%) [6] instead.

In the case of superhero campaigns, this is especially true, as you could potentially need to heal someone who has taken 300 points of damage of damage (which would cost 150 FP). In order to allow for truly epic heals, I would suggest grabbing ER 150 (One Ability Only, -50%) [225], as it would let you engage in truly massive heals. Of course, professional healers may find Reduced FP Cost more useful.

ER for one ability only gives that reduction if you have two or more abilities.

Technically two or more powers from the same source. I would suggest Telepathy 1 [5] and Empathy [15]

I'd allow Healing with Ranged and Reliable, on the grounds that I would not apply Reliable to the roll to hit, only to the IQ roll to heal, because, as you said, Reliable is incompatible with Ranged, so it only applies to the other roll.
