Default Item Catches Fire on played Reloaded Die

Could someone play Curse! Item Catches Fire on a played Reloaded Die or Loaded Die, or does the reloaded die cease to be the property of the player once it is played?

A Reloaded Die (in Munchkin Quest) is not an Item, as it has no Gold Piece value. Therefore it cannot be targeted by that Curse.

And even if these cards were Items, you couldn't use a Curse to stop someone after they have used a One-Shot Item. Once they use it, it has left their possession.
