![]() This week brings the e23 release of the long-awaited GURPS Low-Tech, by our friends Peter Dell'Orto, Dan Howard, Matt Riggsby, and Bill Stoddard. For those who haven't been following this project, it's the TL0-4 tech catalog for GURPS Fourth Edition, the final volume in the set that started with GURPS Ultra-Tech (TL9-12) and continued with GURPS High-Tech (TL5-8). It covers everything from the basics of human survival, through the tools of settled artificers, to the arms and armor of warriors forging settlements into empires – and onward to the refinements of the resulting civilizations. Whether you've been longing for a detailed equipment list for a historical campaign or craving The Big Book of Weapons and Armor for a fantasy campaign, your wait is over.Saddle, spear, and helm

When the art is done. I truly cannot say more than that. In an ideal world, that would be very soon . . . and I'd live in a secret underground base and have flunkies.

I grabbed the PDF of Low-Tech from the store just more than an hour ago. First impression: Really good work. My thanks to all the people who worked on it.

Thanks, btw, are the numerous missing tables for things like Animal Armors, Helmets, Neck Protection and such purposeful omissions?

Good job guys!
Figured I'd make that clear ahead of time before anyone takes my critical commentary the wrong way once I've had time to digest the book. |

For example, the Animal Armors use the table on pp. 110-111, modified using the rules on p. 117.
