Ah the old "Eye In The Pyramid" pride symbol they came out with in the 90s. I still have my pin and wear it.

So, to answer the question "Why didn't you come out sooner?", SJG has always supported pride as far as I can tell, they just don't make a lot of noise about it. I suppose I could track down the old first series Pyramid (or was it back in Roleplayer) magazine where SJG decided to stop endorsing the RPGA when it banned a GM for having a gay character in a submitted game, that was when I was pretty sure SJG supported gay rights.

I was aware of that, I'm referring to something else, don't have a good word for it or anything, though.

But it's like some company not giving a damn usually, but when it's the topic du jour, they do, and then stop once the situation has passed.

To make a quick buck and all that.


Also, that said, just because it goes to a law firm doesn't mean that theoretically it could still just be for the purposes of just making cash more than actual support.
I can think of various pretenses where such a specialized law firm just "doesn't have the resources right now" to help some client or organization, if they don't agree with the individual or organization, but that's not really the point here.

I'm just surprised that they've been sticking to it for so long instead of just doing the "oh right we have to support pride stuff now in 20XX" and the like.

It garners some respect for SJG from me.
