I have found that Reverse Missiles spell will pay off. But can you cast it before the arrow or lightning bolt arrives? The cost is 2+1 per turn, but often you can turn it off once you have established yourself as a bad target.

Skarg,
I use Shadow mainly as an obstacle against arrows. It is okay for that. I know you can hide fires in it, etc, but I just have not been creative enough to find a good way to use it. How do you use Shadow spell effectively?

I could run DT2 again this year if a suitable weekly timeslot could be arranged.

The most fun way to learn is to find out during play, but basically, in addition to creating cover to hide from ranged attacks, you can use it to protect an ally who's in a bad position, or to suddenly give an important foe -6 DX, and/or to "create terrain", which in some situations can be a huge help in a melee going on with other figures. And a few other sneaky tricks. ;-)

In some cases, it can be a 1 ST spell that makes a difference that ultimately causes your side to win or avoid injuries, instead of losing one or more (or all) of your people.

all great suggestions

If two warriors have an enemy engaged, where he can't move a hex without being forced to disengage, a low ST spell like Shadow can blind that enemy, and that is very effective.

What we really need though is: Death Test III "Test of Talents" and then we can see the new advanced combat talents at work in the legendary Thorsz
This needs to be put in print, and the sooner the better.
