Re: Tower of the Moon: Coming Sept 3 for TFT
Thanks Lars! The drop-in/side-quest feature of this one didn't take up a lot of word-count, but was super-important to me as a publisher.
For what it's worth, Tower of the Moon is now available on my website if you missed the campaign: Tower of the Moon (PDF) Tower of the Moon (Print)

Re: Tower of the Moon: Coming Sept 3 for TFT
Playing this adventure now. It's harder than most will initially think, it's also not a standard ITL type adventure... be ready for some interesting stuff. We have 1 wizard... I'm thinking we could have used another for this. Great fun so far.

Re: Tower of the Moon: Coming Sept 3 for TFT
At the final boss battle the fighter and thief were at negative ST and the priest was sleeping at ST zero. The wizard was down to one point of ST and ran away.
If only I had taken an IQ 17 goblin I might have been able to Spellsniffer out the puzzle pieces Pulver placed.

Wow; a near-total party kill! (I'm assuming getting abandoned at negative ST in a monster-filled dungeon is a death sentence). I kind of like that we have a fair number of official TFT modules that will kill you dead more often than not.

You didn't lose the negative ST PCs? Why not? Were you carrying lots of healing potions? Or was one of the NPCs a physicker?

Uhhh...so the lone remaining PC, a wizard with 1 ST left, ran away and yet somehow won and rescued everyone? How in tarnation did that happen?

Re: Tower of the Moon: Coming Sept 3 for TFT
The wizard ran away for a few turns leaving the obsessive (due to his nature) big bad to his own devices.
In that time the wizard chugged four healing potions to cure wounds and fatigue then returned to finish off this final enemy. Then a healing potion was administered to the priest who physickered the other two back up from dying. It was a very close thing and it would have been much easier with goblin and apprentice. Instead this was the sum total of our magical capabilities: Hittok, Human wizard, age 20 ST 8, DX 11, IQ 15, MA 10 Talents: Knife, Literacy (mundane), Naturalist Spells include: 3-Hex Fire, 4-Hex Illusion, Aid, Drain Strength, Lock/Knock, Magic Rainstorm, Staff III Language: Common Weapons: Staff III silver dagger (1d-1), silver dagger (1d-1), brand (1d-2) Attacks and Damage: Punch (1d-4) Armor: robes Equipment: backpack, belt pouch, order book of body parts and campaign diary, pen and ink, 4 healing potions, 2 rations, waterskin, 18 silvers, 20 coppers, jars and bags on loan from the guild pre-marked with the body parts to fill these with.
