Image of a mauler
I have this recollection that I've seen an image of a mauler, but I can't find it in ITL or elsewhere. I'd like to make a counter for personal use, so any help would be appreciated.
Totally possible that this is just a false memory, substituting my imagination for a printed image. Or maybe there is a counter that I'm overlooking? |

Re: Image of a mauler
Could you describe the image more?
- Is a mauler a human fighter, monster or a weapon? - Where was the image: in a rule book, online, on counters, game catalog, etc? - What year do you think it was from? - A detailed description would be helpful (eg. dual wielding fighter with spiked maces and no helmet) The more the detail the more likely someone will recall it. Was it in color or black/white. How as the image framed: Was it a head shot or full body. Other figures in the image (eg. woman laying at his feet or zombies being beat back, etc). - Also, maybe the reason the image stuck with you. That will likely be why others remember it too. Good luck. Last edited by Axly Suregrip; 04-17-2021 at 09:03 AM. |

The mauler is a cylinder with three arms, two which hit and one for balance. Pretty clear why that image stuck with me. I'm thinking maybe I just made up the image in my addled noggin and misremember seeing it. |

Try doing a google image search for the following:
ya te veo tree yateveo tree Madagascar Tree man eating The Death Flower of el banoor None are a perfect match for the mauler but maybe one of these is the image you recall. |

Brilliant, Henry. That's the one. Not quite as I remember it (it's not leaning on the third limb), but that's it.
Should've thought of the deck. Thanks very much for all the help, folks. |

Nice, Axly. From an 1888 book "Sea and land : an illustrated history of the wonderful and curious things of nature existing before and since the deluge".

There goes my afternoon. Must be some good pre-diluvean stuff. EDIT: I am ashamed I used the term "pre-diluvean" rather than the hoitier proper term, "antediluvean". Last edited by phiwum; 04-17-2021 at 06:04 PM. |

Re: Image of a mauler
That's one I don't have. I don't run a lot of adventures written by other folks. I tend to use sandbox play more, though I do have a few adventures for ideas and such.
Thanks. |
