I'd order some kind of large burrowing bioroid, not humanoid. It would be able to speak, of course. It would have good senses of touch, smell, and vibration through solid surfaces. We'd dig holes together, look for buried treasure, work in the garden, etc. I'm thinking of something vaguely like a sapient aardvark the size of a Shetland pony, maybe.
LOL! I love it. I am perhaps too simple a man!

How about a companion/caretaker for the elderly. With an aging population this would be a logical choice. Give him/her some medical and domestic skills as well as customize it for whatever activities the individual prefers. Now you never have to feel guilty about not visiting mom, just don't be surprised when she leaves it everything in her will.

I can't believe that NOONE has mentioned using their bioroid pleasure slave as an RPG referee/player........

Think about it. Now you finally have somebody to run/play in your GURPS Caberet Chicks On Ice game......

QFT!

Actually she would Run GURPS Dinosaur Super-Heroes of the Old West campaign I am threatening my players with.*

Since I gave my bioroid smooth operator, her games would be entertaining. *adds Game: Gurps to her listed skills.

Too bad I only gave her IQ 10!

*Seriously. I want to run this. Anybody?

I suggest to you Transhuman Space - Shell-tech p.29. ^^

Yeah, I'm not sure I buy that. Plenty of "heroes" are everyman or "salt of the earth" types, and I don't think they qualify for low IQ unless they're deliberately portrayed as stupid or naive (Rocky Balboa might qualify, for instance, and The Tick certainly would).

I would expect the average IQ of university graduates to be higher than 10 anyway, since the group would include most people with IQ > 10 and few people with IQ < 10. And since IQ represents (among other things) broad knowledge and mental acuity, spending a few years at a university could plausibly increase it by a point.
