It wouldn't hurt...

He reminds me of what Brian from Knights of the Dinner Table would look like if he lost a few dozen pounds. This is not a good thing - Brian is one of the worst characters in that comic.

I updated the picture for my sister. I changed the girl in green, totally, and updated the guy a bit.

Hey, why the Brian hate? It's an interesting character. I find that Dave
has been much less interesting as a character. But yeah, it's the Brian hairdo. If Brian ever played a monk (he would not, because it has no spellcasting capabilities), and they did an "in world" sequence, I expect that he would look like the original pic ;)

Much better. Specially the makeup for the girl in yellow. Not a fan of the Superman face and hairdo, for the guy, and he's still nipple-less, but it doesn't look like a dork any more. As for the girl in black (nee girl in green), there are two issues IMHO: First, the shadow that falls just over her eyes looks weird. It makes her look dumb because of the overly strong eye-line. Second, why is she dressed for winter, with the guy there barelly wearing a pair of pants, and the girl in yellow wearing a summer dress?

I made sure to tone it down, it was too much. I'll also move her a bit in the next version.

I, personally, like this hair better. But, I'll check with my sister to see which she likes, as it is a pic for her. I'll also see about a new skin, with 100% more nipples!

I don't know if I'd say he's totally un-dorked. But he is much less dorky.

MonkeyFist, looking over my shoulder, says that the guy needs a Chippendale's collar.

I didn't notice that the first time, but in the next version, I'll see about moving the sun to correct that.

Mostly due to the vagueness of the request:
  • Well-, but not overly-muscled guy with no shirt (probably, with nipples, though).
  • Woman in rogue- or theif-style clothes with a crystal sword.
  • Woman in noble-type dress.
That's the nutshell of the request, so you saw the picture. Now, I send it off and get feedback to refine what they want.

Well, you meet the requirements, but it's true they are vague. Rogue/Thief clothes is particularly vague. It can mean almost S&M black shiny leathers/black shiny leather catsuit (no self respecting rogue/thief would show himself in those, but they're somewhat common in [bad] fantasy art), to still unrealistic hooded cloak+leather armor, to circus acrobat leotards, to ninja pajamas.

I do what I can with the information I'm given. That way, they can see what I've done, and then they can give feedback.

I get that. In fact you do a wonderful job with the information you're given. BTW, I tend to find that deep greens and deep blues usually look better than straight blacks, at least when it comes to real life cloaks, both look-wise and camouflage-wise.

Check the freepository - Lyrra I think it was made a set of patches to go in those holes so poor Victoria doesn't get so cold.

Otherwise, they're both really really spendy right now, but http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=13681 is awesome (for Genesis) and http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=10974 is pretty darn good for V4 if you put a second skin on/under that cleavage.

In general, a more piratical/swashbucklery look might mesh better with the other two - but rogues are steriotypically (cartoonishly?) equipped with a big all concealing cloak to stab people from behind so "overdressed" may be an unavoidable point.

For the strappy leather route: http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=7524 (on sale cheap right now :)

Layered over a bodysuit, that strappy set is actually somewhat fantasy-logic reasonable.

If you can patch those holes, then I think the original outfit looks best ;)
