(which includes all Engineering specialties) -16 + versatile + Single-Minded (which my GM allows for inventing, if that's truly all I'm doing at the time) giving me an effective Concept/Prototype skill of 20 (18 for an average gadget which almost every practical adventury gadget is likely to be). Add on a decent scrounging/mechanic/armoury skill for finding parts, and Luck, and I'm off and running. Mostly I use it to make sure my Gunslinger has TL 7 revolvers in TL (early) 5 London, complete with speed-loaders, silencer, etc.
I had a similar idea, but to have a sort of Batman-esque gear suite. I do want to keep on Gadgeteer, so i'm getting rid of Gunslinger for sure. Science! sounds good, but isn't there a WC skill for Engineer? Would that be more beneficial than getting Science! or should i get both?

You want Inventor!

Yep, Monster Hunters and als GURPS Power Ups Wildcards
Covers all the engineering skills plus basically anything needed to design and build gadgets.

It's in both Supers and Power-Ups 7: Wildcard Skills. It's basically the skill MCU!Tony Stark uses.

So would getting both Science! and Inventor! WC skills up to a decent amount be better in the long run? I mean, I hope to be building more gadgets as time passes, but for now i only have Tangle Grenades and my Thruster. Do you think that i could make the case with only having Inventor! that my character would know certain scientific elements of my gear?

It's also in Supers.

Inventor is slightly better if all you want it for is inventing but I found Science more universally useful. Yes, it covers any Concept, Prototype, analysis,
and modification roll but how often is that not going to be covered by Science? In my case, several of the skills granted don't exist yet (computer programming, etc.) and my IQ is high enough that I have the others individually at a high enough level.

I do want to invest in my character's helmet, giving it a few new HUD elements and what not. Do I need Science for that or do you think things like computer programming and AI creation would fall under Inventor? Reason I ask is i would need to make the case to my GM for something like that.

Computer Programming and Computer Programming (AI) both fall under Inventor!; in short, if you're designing or building anything from scratch, Inventor! covers all the skills needed.

Remember that Wildcards are rather open-ended; they not only cover the skills listed for the Wildcard (and Computer Programming is explicitly listed in Supers and Power-Ups 7 for Inventor!), but also any other skill not listed so long as it's justifiable when used. Sword!, for instance, not only covers all bladed weapons but also Acrobatics when dueling from chandeliers and sliding down banisters (but not Acrobatics when not in a sword-fight)....

Makes sense. GCS doesn't have the WC Skills in it automatically, so Inventor! is based around what stats and how hard is it? I need to add it manually into GCS. Is it written down in the books it's in?

EDIT: Never mind, it's here. So now, is there any way of me pitching the purchase of LC 2 stuff from Ultra Tech so that I can get things like sleep gas and what not?

Also would Fist! be worth it to replace points I have in techniques for things like whirlwind attack, jump kick, and various others?
