Limitations for special traits if none is mentioned?
Skimming Adventurers to create a barbarian I stumbled over the special trait Tough Skin (p.16). This trait enhances DR for 3/level but there is no limitation mentioned in the description. Is there none, ergo a barbarian could enhance this trait as long as he feeds it without restraint?

Yikes, I missed the entry under Advantages of the barbarian profession and only read the description on the following page. Thanks for pointing me at it!

Don't forget that your race also ADDS to that limit, the limit increases.
A dwarf barbarian can have tough skin 4. Half ogre barbarian can have tough skin 4. Minotaur barbarian can have tough skin 5! One example of this is Argua delver from Delvers to go page 4. |

What about Acute Senses (any)? I see 2/level but no specific limitation. |

I don't think there's a level, but obviously utility sharply drops off after five or so levels

Re: Limitations for special traits if none is mentioned?
Page 46 of Adventurers talks about advantage limits.
"Maximum Advantage Level ...In most cases, there’s a cap on the number of levels allowed or points you can spend. That’s the highest of these three limits: • The maximum noted on your professional template; e.g., Magery 6 for a wizard or Outdoorsman 4 for a druid. • The maximum under Exceptional Abilities (Exploits, p. 93), which covers character growth in play; e.g., Enhanced Dodge 3 for a martial artist or Ridiculous Luck for a holy warrior. • The maximum noted in the advantage description itself. ... If none of the above applies, there’s no limit – you’re welcome to buy as much of the trait as you can afford!" Last edited by zoncxs; 05-26-2022 at 10:44 AM. Reason: page number |
