I also just added an auto increment feature for the hp/fp tracker so holding down the plus/minus buttons will quickly add or subtract from the total.

I'm also still looking for more suggestions. What do YOU want in this app?

For us who don't have an android device (yet), what does the app do, exactly? A quick list of functions would be nice...

(p.s.: just noting that HP is below 1/3 should do the trick, if this is an issue, since anyone who knows the rules well enough, knows what it does... no need to spell it out)

As of right now it:
Calculates Collision Damage with Hit location
Has a dice roller
HP/FP tracker
Calculates Throwing Distance and damage.

I'm currently working on Jumping Distance.

  • The source code ;) (I'm a Java devel, and I'm considering jumping into Android, got the SDK and all that, it's only the GUI that puzzles me, but then again, I'm very bad at GUIs in Java too, preferring to work on the server side of things, I would love to see how it was done here, and to toy with it a little)
Now the serious options:
  • ST to swing/thrust damage
  • Cost Factor calculator (trivial, I know, just two text fields, one for base cost and one for CF, and it multiplies the base cost by 1+CF)
  • Trait cost calculator (put the base cost, and the total modifiers, and you get final cost)
  • Knockback calculator
  • Blunt Trauma calculator (with the Low tech optional rule included)

Great thanks for the list! I'll add it to my list to consider. I especially like the knockback idea.

As for the source code, I'll give the app away free but I'm not ready to give the code away just yet. :)

Cool, I'm getting an android tablet once any good ones come to the market here.

I see you're going for the "annoying to calculate on your own" rules. Good call.

I'll put some thought on it and post ideas latter this week.

How about falling damage?, granted it's a subset of collision damage, but still...

Yup, it's already in there. In the collision section there is a checkbox to indicate the collision is actually a fall.
