Default Extra Ready maneuver

The Peshkali has been stunned and dropped her weapons. She would like to pick them back up. Does this take one turn or 6?

Since the Peshkali is a Cool Monster I'd let her

Round 1 - kneel and ready weapons all 6
Round 2 - stand (as a step) and attack

It'd be fine for a GM to rule as Kalzazz.

I think technically it'd be 6; however, I might look and see how things are going.

Due to the Peshkali's Supernatural Durability, I assume Mental Stun, somehow? See Monsters, p.12.

Seven turns with no roll. She really should carry twelve blades so she can Fast-Draw six more.

On the other hand, give her the same chance of picking up a weapon per hand as you would a PC: it’s obviously feasible. Probably involves a DX roll.

As far as I know, the only way to be stunned AND drop your carried items is through Knockdown, meaning she would be prone as well. Also, Standing to Kneeling (as well as prone to Kneeling) is Change Position which does not allow Step.

So her maneuvers would be: Do Nothing (recover from Stun), CP (Kneel), Step and Ready (Stand) x6.

I was wondering about that but I was too lazy to look it up.

If she can draw her weapons in a single ready action she can pick them up. And if she can attack with all of her weapons each round she'd have to have the coordination to ready them. If you're really concerned about adjudicating that extra attacks can't be used to ready weapons then give her the GURPS MA perk that lets her ready multiple weapons simultaneously. Because otherwise it would be a comedic romp of her holding up a finger on one hand while she gradually draws weapons for the first 6 seconds of the fight.

I just let anyone convert attacks to ready actions - it's not exactly game-breaking.
