Default Be Careful Removing Your Car From a Base

While trying to pull up one of my minis (I think it was the Jackrabbit) I pulled the top part of the car free but the bottom remained firmly attached to the base's pegs. It wasn't a big deal (just need to glue the bottom back on) but it is something to watch out for.

Personally I recommend using a little Vaseline beforehand to lubricate the pegs so the miniatures can pull free without issue.

[insert off color joke of your choice here.]

I am guessing the plastic shrank from the mold and the hole in the miniature is on the small size.

In other miniatures, I usually take the appropriate sized drill bit and make sure the hole is the correct size.

Sometimes, such as this, where I will be rebasing often, I will make the opening beveled with an exacto knife, so that aligning and fitting are much easier.

The exact same thing happened to my Jackrabbit. Can't remember which one now, but another one was even tighter.

I have a few Hot Wheels that I need to drill holes into so I can use them with the bases. Anyone know the size of bits required?

For mounting Hot Wheels cars, a better approach than drilling the car is probably going to be setting aside a couple of bases specifically for Hot Wheels (In a DA box, you have plenty of spares), clipping the pegs down to about half-height or so, and using the remaining stubs of the pegs to hold a blob of blu tac (poster tac) that will hold the car in place well enough for play purposes while still being easily removable and not potentially damaging anything.
