I would rule that John keeps his head down, however with missile shield he's sort of covered on that one. Therefore if John wants he can be standing up and casting stuff on himself he's fine to do so. We proceed from the point where John takes off (assuming he casts Flight successfully) and Jacob and Jorin start sneaking.

There's a ruined wall which looks like the best option for getting up immediately (roll Climbing-2 for having to climb without being seen) or you can take the long way around (roll Stealth to dodge between the gaps). You both need to make those rolls. For either option roll Navigation (Land) or Urban Survival to find your way around to where the shots seem to be coming from (you can both roll, and the biggest margin of success or failure gets to set the route).

So, what would I roll (if anything) to find out which adjacent buildings the snipers are firing from?

PER or Observation would be the obvious ones. Technically though it's just a case of getting close to an open window without being seen and looking and listening for which way the shots are coming from. It's the building to the left as you look out of the window towards Wolf, Sam and John. There are stairs leading onto the ruined roof of the building you are in, and at least one door on the ground floor of the next building that doesn't look guarded.

The walls are mostly brick with plaster/ plasterboard; some come in with variants of breezeblock. Some reinforcing with steel beams and the like can be found in places. Floors are mainly wood.
