There is no response. Bibingui tries connecting to PURR1T0 using her wireless interface, but it’s useless. She surmises it could be a consequence of the miasma, but she doesn’t rule out the damage her astromech suffered from the collision.

Hence, she decides to plug a cable and run a diagnosis. Much to her dismay, PURR1T0 seems broken. Probably, the parts related to the boot sector or its firmware were damaged. Bibingui might require checking and repairing the hardware.

Bibingui and Vanta give another look to PURR1T0; our fellow Ewok unlocks the latch to the astromech’s “innards” and fiddles with its circuit board. Would the well trained, yet klutzy hands of Bibingui solve the issue?

Spoiler:  

Dexterity (13) 13.

Barely succeeding, the Ewok unplugs and then plugs some key parts within the droid, performing the so called “hard reset”.

PURR1T0 shrieks, and restarts.

It’s “eyes” start blinking, flashing red and then blue. The droid starts following Bibingui as usual. Ultimately, the lights stay red, and a familiar message is delivered to you all:

“/ * EXECUTE ORDER 19362100 * /
> COMMENCE UNNUMBER.”

PURR1T0 draws a stun baton and pinches Bibingui gluteus (random hit location, 11) for 1d6-3 (1).

It’s time to fight PURR1T0!

Bibingui strikes into close combat (-2) and reaches for the droid’s “switch” (in simple words). You will be able to shut it down on the next turn. Provided you successfully overcome your klutziness and striking into close combat again (IF Vanta fails wrestling, otherwise just roll against DX and full skill).

PURR1T0 is all-out attacking, so it doesn’t defend.

Seeing these three entangled in a brawl, K10 sets their blaster to 'stun' and stands by in case things get out of hand.

"The same subversion that affected those other droids," K10 comments, their usually flat affect betraying a hint of fear. "Can you determine how he was affected?" K10 deactivates their internal communicator as a precautionary measure, and resolves to run a full self-diagnostic scan at their earliest possible convenience.
