I take it the first line was for "already been canceled".

After that I can say "Jesus?". Their Biblical lacunae start rather earlier than that since no one recognizes the story of David when it passes in front of their eyes.

This is one of those (probably incomplete) Myth parallels and a weird one at that.

The person who told you that was confusing the Infinity setting with the Time Master RPG setting that inspired the Time Corp setting Infinite Worlds has as alternative.

The Time Corp setting involved actual time travel while the Infinity setting does not. The old Time Master RPG setting involved both and yes that could be as confusing as it sounds.
