[Powers] Changing Someone's Voice
Converting a spell from another game system to Powers, I wanted to build the ability to forcibly change the voice of another person.
The only thing I could think of was to leverage Kromm's From Skills to Advantages in Pyramid #3/44: Alternate GURPS II. I thought I'd start with Mimicry (Speech) at a high enough level so that it has very low odds of "failing the skill roll". And then bundle that skill-turned-advantage into an Affliction. Since you control the effects of an Advantage when you Afflict another character with it (with the exception of Beneficial Afflictions), you can have the Affliction make the target sound like whatever you want (with a -3 to the "skill roll" of the target if you choose to make them sound like a specific person, as per Mimicry's rules). Does that sound right? Is there another way to do it that I've missed?

Re: [Powers] Changing Someone's Voice
There's actually Mimicry advantage. I'd use it instead of skill.

Re: [Powers] Changing Someone's Voice
There is always Affliction (Voice) or Affliction (Disturbing Voice).
If you aren't trying to make them sound better or worse, but just different, though, I think I wouldn't charge the full cost for Mimicry; rather, Afflictiopn (Mimicry (Human; One voice only, -80%)) for a substantially lower cost. Or you could just say that having to speak in a different voice is a quirk. Assuming, that is, that the afflicted person doesn't actually gain control of which different voice they use.
