You mean something like Battlegrounds Gaming Engine and this free Car Wars compatible artpack?

Yes, like that, although with a licensing tie-in to SJG so that no issues arise with the gaming. I'd hate to lose access to the material mid-game, and BGE mentions in the artpack description that they've included a kill switch precisely for use if SJG files a claim.

Well, it's been out for years and years, and there's never been an issue. Nor should there be, since nothing infringes on the IP, and you'd need your own copy of the game to actually play with the virtual setup.

Yep! I second this 1000%.... players like me would instantly open up to all this pool of gamers to meet. And yes, pretty sure there's a decent market for this, I think this is one of the best moments if not the best for this.

@seawolf: No problem at all — and I assure you we'll make some noise about a new version if that comes to pass. Thank YOU for the interest!

For my part: I wouldn't mind seeing something like eGames' _Mini Car Racing_ -- better controls on that one.

Year end Bump... if they can make Dwarf fortress into more modern version I sure Autoduel could be done as well
