Default How to price a Disadvantage voluntarily replaceable with another Disadvantage?

The question was inspired by mental Disadvantages treatable with imperfect pharmacological Mitigators- Absent-Minded treatable with amphetamines that give Insomnia, Chronic Depression treatable with a MAOI inhibitor that gives Restricted Diet (non-tyramine-containing foods), Delusions/Paranoia/Voices treatable with an antipsychotic that gives Neurological Disorder (Mild), etc.

Hmm... Is the old Split Personality and Medication thread relevant?

The most logical way is to subtract the temporary disadvantage percentage from the Mitigator. That is a daily dose of something that cures you for the day is a -60% mitigator. If it also gives you a Temporary Disadvantage (-15 point Neurological disorder) that would be a -15% limitation on an advantage, so it reduces the mitigator to -45%. This is approximately equivalent to giving the character the full disadvantage and considering the mitigator a limited form of Not Disadvantaged, which is the approach I tend to take for more complicated cases.

Admittedly a net -8 points for your choice of -15 point disadvantages today isn't a deal many players will jump at. You might ease that a little by giving them the other disadvantage with the same sort of limitation (i.e. Neurological Disorder (mitigator: skipping my medication -100%, TD: Delusions +15%) [-2].
