Monster Base Color and DxM
I get all of the base rules, except one. Here is what I believe I am reading:
If this information is true, I have two questions based on there being no bases available and the highest level monster/s being removed. First, if multiple bases are made available by removing multiple highest level monsters and one of them is the same as the original dice roll, does that base have to be used, since it was the original color rolled on the dice? Second, regardless of the answer to the first question, if multiple bases are available and I pick (or am forced to pick) the color that was originally rolled, does that character get a DxM card? I guess ultimately I am looking at the order of precedence. Based on the wording in the rules I assume the only condition that warrants the drawing of a DxM card is a roll of that players color and a base is being available right then. Thanks again for helping me see the light, or applying the proper filters to the light for me. MIB 9933

Re: Monster Base Color and DxM
If your color is rolled on the Monster Die, you get a DxM regardless of whether you have bases available. If your color is not rolled, you do not get a DxM regardless of whether your base is eventually used.

Re: Monster Base Color and DxM
That does clear up the DxM logic fault I was having.
With that factored out as a concern/confusion of mine, "If no bases at all are available, the highest-level monster (counting enhancers) is removed from play, freeing a base for the new monster. If there is a tie for highest level, remove all tied monsters!" Assuming multiple bases are freed up, if one of them matches the original dice roll, must it be used, or is it still up to the player who rolled the dice?

Re: Monster Base Color and DxM
I don't think that question was ever thought about, so I'm going to go with "use the color rolled if available."
