I currently have them all rolled up around a solid core small tube.

I went out and bought a 6 Foot PVC pipe with a 6 inch radius, with two flat caps inserts for the bottom and two flat caps for the top. Then cut it to hold both my 24 x 24 mats and my 3' maps. Wife made me a tote for it from rip stop nylon. Think I posted it once on the Ogre FB page.

6” radius? That’s a big piece of pipe!

Nice. Thanks for posting that. While I don't have nearly as many maps as Cat does, I'll soon have seven of them. So something like that will be very useful.

Even though I rarely get to play Ogre/GEV, I went ahead and ordered another whole set of the playmats (except for the Iron Mountain map). My optimism is perhaps unrealistic but I hope to have one huge battle this year using a bunch of the geomorphed maps.

Got them today. Now all I need is another player or few, a good scenario for a megamap game, a day or two to dedicate to playing, and - oh yeah - the pandemic to pass.

Seriously, any advice on a megamap scenario with these playmats when we can once again game in person? I'm tempted to just go with arbitrary map selection, symmetrical forces with edge-of-map deployment from opposite sides, a couple of CPs each, and see what happens.

You can alter the setup for "Body Blow" and increase force levels.
Be sure to set aside a weekend to play it though.

You know how you can print curtains in different prints?
Why not print a curtain that is 2-3 feet on the square that has several OGRE/GEV maps on it?
I did it and my nephews have OGRE/GEV map bed spreads and curtains as well.
They love them as they can play OGRE on their bed.
