Eclipse Phase
Announced in GenCon, this seems compatible with TS.
http://www.eclipsephase.com/ It could be a 'future' for the TS setting. I see so few divergences from TS that could be used practically 'as is' in any campaign. Only with some terminology changed (and in a TS setting, terminology should keep changing anyway). |

Re: Eclipse Phase
It seems a bit more cinematic and a bit more fantastic. For one thing, it apparently includes psionic powers as part of the setting.
They're offering a few preview copies at GenCon, so I'd hope that means the PDF should be available in the next couple of weeks. |

Re: Eclipse Phase
TS also has no technological singularity.

Re: Eclipse Phase
This Eclipse Phase does? How do you possibly play a post-singularity RPG (unless the PCs are outside the singularity as in Illium/Olympos, Stone Canal/Cassini Division , or Marooned in Realtime; which does not seem to be the case here)? "Your characters are beings who you cannot possibly understand doing things that you could not possibly describe. What do you do?"

Re: Eclipse Phase
I think the game would be fantastic...
... if it would ever come out. Seriously, I've been waiting on the thing for well over a year now. |
