Power Requirements for Blaster/Laser Designs
Hello, all! I have been wrestling with this since I found I wanted to use David Pulver's article Eidetic Memory: Blaster and Laser Design from Pyr (3/37) to make larger weapons.
The problem I am having is Power Requirement. The article uses shots on a C-cell for 1d damage. But I want to know how many kj to use for static power sources like emergency generators, house current, local power grids, space stations, and so on... Any ideas? |

A TL9 C-cell holds 90 kJ, and each tech level above multiplies by x4. That’s straight from David Pulver himself some years ago.

It is a shame that this isn't spelled out in GURPS ULTRATECH.

Not having numbers for power was a deliberate design decision for 4e.
