Just one of many silly point crocks in GURPS. Like any level of (non-Super) Luck, which is an amazing force multiplier for all your rolls. I slap on that 15-point Luck on as many PCs as possible.

I suspect its as good as it is considering how, in some very noticeable ways, GURPS Magic really tries hard to make sure its too balanced in some aspects. I particularly notice that in spells. Like, Counterspell is stinky as written, on the meta-level what smart player would waste points on this (at least in a DF game)? MR seems to follow the trend in GURPS to overcompensate for magic countermeasures and balances.
