US army new AR?
Has the M5 AR been modeled yet in gurps? Last I heard G4 didn't have a weapon modeling system. It's been a while since I had players for gurps, I came back to support sjg due to steve's recent stance. I'm trying to find/recruit some players
Here's a quick video giving a description of the new gun from an infantryman's pov. It's fascinating in that is quickly describes how advances in various technologies lead to a new generation of assault rifles with new priorities. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...4&&FORM=VRDGAR Last edited by agentdenton; 07-21-2022 at 03:51 PM. |

Are you seeing something I'm not? Because it looks like his first post is in the thread about Steve taking a stance (a thread I didn't even know existed, as I don't ever really look at that part of the forum, and is now unsurprisingly closed, but I'm slowly making my way through it).

It's been a while since there's been a seriously crunchy GURPS High Tech supplement for weapons. A supplement on bleeding-edge weaponry like the latest U.S. military arsenal, or the weapons being used in current military conflicts, would be welcome.

Doug's spreadsheet that he developed or the refined sheet that I added to - should be able to express the damage of guns if you know the real world velocity and real world mass (along with diameter etc) to determine its overall damage rating. If you have the actual bullet length to width ratio - that helps all the more.

The OICW never saw service but maybe this rifle will be different.
