On this day in Car Wars history…
According to the Uncle Alberts Auto Stop and Gunnery Shop 2023 Calendar (SJG, 1987), “Crazy Joe” Harshman used a hood-mounted .50 calibre machine gun to win the Fresno Demolition Derby on March 22nd, 2023 — today.
Congrats to SJG on continuing to make Car Wars on the day so long ago “predicted” to be the birth of auto duelling. (FWIW, it’s also my 50th birthday — which is how I’ve remembered this fact for 36 years!). |
