Well, my nightmares have always been comically weird. Terrifying when they're happening, but make even me laugh once I wake up.

Six inch tall vampire stalking me in a giant all white bedroom.

Telepathic ghostly disembodied cat-head hunting me while family drives me out of town. I try not to tell them why we need to leave as my thoughts would give away our position.

That kind of thing.
