Throw a molotail like a missile weapon?
Here is some interesting info on throwing molotails. They are not thrown as spear or hatchet. This is what Advanced Melee Page 23 "Fire as Weapon" has to say:
"The range adjustment for DX on throwing molotails (and similar items) is -1 for every MEGAHEX distance from you to the target. If your target hex is 3 MH away, your DX is -3.This means that you can throw that molotail 9 hexes away for only -3DX and it can waver any number of hexes if you miss. I had been using the thrown weapon distances and blowing up my guys too. What does it mean when it says throwing molotails (and similar items)? Could that also be a grenade or alchemy/chemestry gas bombs or exploding gem?

We took it to mean anything small and reasonably shaped for throwing, such as a baseball, that doesn't have to hit blade first. So rocks, grenades, gems, walnuts, etc.

I took it to mean "any thrown object that does not have to hit its target but only land in the same hex." As a hex is 4 feet across that's a pretty large target to aim at.
