Yeah, add me to the the list.

I can see myself butchering and modifying a more fleshed out version.

(Hmm, Gambling with character points to make a stormbringer esq demon summoning system)

[Edit]Christopher, could you do a recap for those who aren't familiar with Metatronic generation?[/Edit]

Sure. So Metatronic Generators (see here for the original Pyramid article) is a method by which you can assign equipment statistics to things you build with points. It's meant to stand in for superscience devices, magi-tech, steampunk technology, and a whole lot more. The idea is that you can design a thing using the basic system for GURPS and then turn it into a piece of gear with cash costs, LC, and so on.

It seems to be pretty popular from what I've seen and I've been considering doing a book on it for a while.

Here are a few examples from my blog using this system:

Some things I'd like to do were I to write such a supplement:
  • Generalize the whole shebang so that it can represent everything from clockpunk to biofunk.
  • Talk (in depth) about the various forms of technology and how they'd change the base function of metatronic generators. For example, if generators are magitech it would make sense for them to shut down without mana and require a Thaumatology roll instead of an Electronics Operation roll.
  • Provide many examples.
  • Provide a gadgeteering system to make generators in game.
  • ... and a lot more!

But that's getting a head of myself. I saw this thread and thought "Hey, I can test the waters" and it feels like the water is just fine. :-)

I think a book length treatment would be cool

The basic Metatronics is pretty versatile especially for things like magitech and whatnot, but expanding it in a way that would allow generating vehicles and other consumer items that aren't necessarily 'powers-science', such as mundane or alt-verse/timeline technology would definitely be great and relevant to my interests.

I could definitely see Retro-Tech Metatronic Generators fit nicely into a Dungeon Fantasy campaign, as something Artificers can build, to match the spellcasters.

So I love all things Magi-tech, I would purchase a book on this to add to the ever growing pile of GURPS books I have. Would be interesting to discuss how to use them in games in tandem with other magic systems etc.

I'd love a book on this. I'm running a fantasy game where I've converted over WH40k Necrons and this would be perfect for simulating their tech in my game.

Start printing it please!

I'd love a more in-depth explanation of Metatronic Generators. Seems like there's so much that you could do with them and to them that hasn't been covered yet.

Yes, this would be something I would like to cover. Divergent tech is an INTERESTING subject to me and being able to write about it and MG at the same time would be awesome. MG is supposed to be mostly about special items so I wouldn't downplay that, but having notes on making freeze rays common every day items is something I'd do as well.

I would have sections for all the current magic systems I think. Lots of interesting stuff there. :-)
